Charles Krauthammer, a Fox News commentator, has been out of the public eye since August.
On Thursday Fox News Special Report host Brett Baier took time to tell the viewers about Krauthammer’s condition.
“Before we leave, one quick update,” Baier said. “Hundreds of you, literally hundreds have emailed, tweeted, or posted questions to me about the status of our colleague, Charles Krauthammer.”
In September, Baier tweeted saying Krauthammer had some complications and that he is making “slow and steady progress.” Krauthammer last public post was on August 4th.

“As I said on this show a few weeks ago, his pre-planned ran into some complications post-surgery, so he’s still in the hospital making slow, steady progress and recovery,” Baier said Thursday night.
“He desperately wants to come back to the panel as soon as possible, believe me,” he added.
“I speak to or email with his wife Robby almost every day. And I share your thoughts and prayers,” Baier continued.
He said Krauthammer needs time and he won’t be returning soon.
“It will likely be a few more weeks,” he said.
Anyhow, he said Krauthammer will have some kind of distraction.
“And yes, he does get to watch his Washington Nationals first game of the playoffs against the Cubs, tomorrow night, so we’re pulling for him.”
“… thanks for asking about his status,” Baier said, “he’ll be back here soon I’m sure.”
