Nowadays there are not a lot of things you can buy for only $2. But Sunday you could’ve got NFL ticket for just $2.
The game between the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts, Vivid Seats was selling the tickets for $2, and not just any seats but the good ones as well, the ones that were going for $29.
They say it was due to the snow storm that day in Buffalo, but that was not the only game that was selling for a low price.
The Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers game tickets were selling for $7.
Not all teams are having the same problem with tickets prices, but overall, tickets sales are not what they used to be.
When Colin Kaepernick started the anthem protest, he presumably never expected this negative effect that his decision has brought upon the NFL.
The NFL never did understand how their decisions would impact the league. The players continued Kaepernick movement, with almost every player kneeling during the anthem, despite the pressure from the fans to stop.
In return, the fan started to turn off the TV and stopped going to the games.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell needs to understand the basic concept of selling a product. If you provide something that the people are unsatisfied with, well then prices of your product will go down. Infuriate your fan base, and ticket sales will start to decline instantly.
Goodell does not have the courage to deal with the players. In fact, the only solution the NFL has come up with is to keep the players in the locker room while the National Anthem plays.
Cause, that’s what the fans want, keep the players and the problems hidden.
To lead a league like this it takes leadership skills. And leadership means making the right decision even when it’s unpopular one.
It is time to handle the protesting players, and obligate them to stand for the national anthem. And only then the ticket prices will back up.
